Mrs Fowler (first name unknown) was the widow of Paul Fowler, the owner of a small family company.
When Paul conceived of an idea for a high-end security system that would prevent any painting from being stolen, he approached IPR investors Carlton Wood and Harry Fielding to patent the idea, but they cheated him out of the patent, the subsequent court case ruining the family and driving Paul to suicide, leaving his wife and four children virtually destitute.
Mrs Fowler was later contacted by conmen Mickey Bricks and his team, who arranged an elaborate con that forced Wood and Fielding to return the patent to Mrs Fowler, reflecting Mickey's refusal to allow people to manipulate the system to get something for nothing while people like Paul Fowler were cheated out of what was rightfully theirs.
